Mobile operator T2 “pumps” the Internet on GRELKAFEST in Sheregesh

T2, the Russian mobile operator, acting as GRELKAFEST General Partner, pumps mobile Internet in Sheregesh during the festival, which will be held this year from April 10 to 13.

New equipment and new base stations will provide quick loading even at those moments when traffic at the festival will be maximum.

The operator in March installed new base stations in the village and in the ski area. One of the basic stations provides fast Internet and good voice communications at the rolling and parking in sector B at the Vostok and West cable roads. Two more new base stations will allow the operator’s customers to use the mobile Internet in the zone of the new private development of Sheregesh, on the streets from the extreme to Kedrova, as well as on summer cottages and spring.

New base stations are configured to provide excellent Internet speed even during the highest load hours. On each of them, the width of the strip of frequency used is at least 50 MHz. This in theory provides speed at 200 megabits per second. In real conditions of high load on the network, the speeds will be lower, but they should allow all guests of the festival to use the Internet comfortably.

The previously installed base stations on the top of the Green Mountains, roll out the sector A and in the village itself also “pumped”. They added a frequency resource to make the Internet faster. So, in the area of ​​the main lifting of the sector and, according to the results of the drive, the average speed of mobile Internet per user became more than 3.5 times. The maximum speeds recorded while checking the network reaches 190 megabits per second.

The new basic stations installed on the eve of the festival are only part of the T2 operator’s program for the development of the network in resort areas. Recall that Sheregesh became one of the first small cities where the T2 was refarding – the redistribution of frequencies in favor of 4G technology. As a result, the speed of mobile Internet increased and, in general, the stability of the connection. In sector A – the most popular among skiers – the average Internet speed increased by 40 %.
