Arsenal are targeting Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (26) as a potential alternative to Morgan Rogers.

Manager Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his squad with an attacking midfielder who can contribute more significantly in the final third of the pitch and around the box. The priority is Morgan Rogers, but Morgan Gibbs-White has also entered the sights of the “gunners”.

The Forest international has had an excellent season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions and adding 7 assists, and his solid performances have been key to his side retaining their place in the Premier League.

An eventual transfer of Gibbs-White to Arsenal will be no easy task as he is currently valued at €70m and Nottingham's owner Evangelos Marinakis is known to be a difficult negotiator.

Tottenham came close to signing the player last year, but the Greek eventually managed to convince him to stay, signing a new long-term contract. PSG are also showing interest in Morgan Gibbs-White, but for now the Parisians have focused on other targets.

Conversely, Arsenal have a list of 8 players they want to part with.

The list of departures includes:

  • Fabio Vieira

  • Reiss Nelson

  • Christian Norgaard

  • Ben White

  • Ethan Nwaneri

  • Gabriel Jesus

  • Gabriel Martinelli

  • Leandro Trossard

The last three may have contracts until the summer of 2027, and Gunners officials believe that this could be the last period in which they can get significant sums in exchange for them.
