Drivers pay PLN 98 for the technical examination of a passenger car, and this rate has not changed for over 20 years. Though This condition is beneficial for drivers, it is a disaster for representatives of the vehicle diagnostic industry. For years, thousands of stations had to be liquidated, because the costs of doing business were too high.
Diagnosis demand changes, the government is delaying
The vehicle diagnostics industry must cope in the only available way, i.e. increasing the number of customers. This is – what can be suggested by data – may translate into inadequate quality of service. According to the MotoSzenia.interia.pl website, only 2.14 percent of over 22 million tests in 2024. ended with a negative result.

The Ministry of Infrastructure is to deal with the technical inspection of cars. In December last year, the ministry submitted an application for entering the legislative work of the bill, which introduces changes to the technical research system of vehicles.
