Nicușor Dan welcomed the proposal launched on Tuesday by interim president Ilie Bolojan and described the Cotroceni Palace as “a neutral and adequate framework for a balanced discussion, which will offer all candidates the opportunity to present their ideas and vision for the country”.
Nicușor Dan cataloged the proposal made by the head of state as a “good one”.
“I believe that the proposal of the interim president, Mr. Ilie Bolojan, to participate in an electoral debate at the Cotroceni Palace is a good one. I see this location as a neutral and adequate framework for a balanced discussion, which will give everyone the opportunity to present their ideas and vision for the country,” Nici wrote.
The independent candidate believes that such a debate should be broadcast by TVR.
“I think it is essential for this debate to be organized and transmitted by the Romanian television, as a public service, and to be made available to all the private television channels that want to take it. Ensuring a broad audience for this debate is important to allow all Romanian citizens to inform and to form an opinion,” Independent candidate for presidential elections in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ilie Bolojan: In Cotroceni, very correct and very honest debates can be organized
The election campaign and the elections in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were one of the topics addressed by the interim president of Romania in the press conference that he held at the Cotroceni Palace on Tuesday. On this occasion, he proposed to organize a presidential debate right in the respective room.
“It is an offer that the Presidential Administration does to those who are applying. I do not see why in this room, where is the job of the future president, both in the first and second round, you cannot organize some very correct and very honest debates that the media groups organize and to be transmitted directly to them, and that they would be transmitted in all means, which would be a good way, Sometimes we see in the online area, to see candidates, to see debates, to see programs, to see ideas, and then the Romanians make a correct image and can really give a vote as they consider it appropriate, “said Ilie Bolojan.
