Unmoved situation in Europe. Won the title before starting the play-off

The Red Star Belgrade won the 8th consecutive title in Serbia, although the regular season has just ended and the play-off is about to start next week. The difference between “Zvezda” and the partisan rival is so large that the formation that authoritatively dominates the championship of the neighboring country can no longer be reached.

In the last stage of the championship, Steaua Roşie passed light by of of Belgrade, 3-0, and mathematically conquered the title of champion, although the play-off will start over a week. The red-white band has 86 points at the end of the regular championship (28 victories and two draws), while Partizan accumulated 63 points, with 23 fewer than the leader. Only seven matches are played in the play-off in Serbia, and the points do not halve, as is the case in our superlig.

This season, Steaua Roşie won everything, except for two meetings played at home, 2-2 with Mladost and 3-3 with partisan. The champion Serbeia scored 106 goals and received 22. Partizan has not won the title of 2017, and for several years the club has decided to focus on the basketball section, to the detriment of football.
