Poland remains a country in which the pimples were not found, and the intensification of preventive measures of the MRiRW is associated with the threat of virus transmission from neighboring countries, where the disease occurs and where subsequent foci of pimples are confirmed – the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said after Sunday's clearance of the crisis staff.

The ministry reported that intensive training in the identification of risk factors and biosecurity rules is underway. The educational campaign covers farmers, breeders and industry environments. “We remind you to limit personal traffic and limiting vehicle entry into farms where sensitive animals are maintained,” the announcement was indicated.

The ministry reminded of the need for emergency disinfection of vehicles when performing inspection on site and limiting controls to necessary cases. It also recommended to follow messages regarding the threat of pimples published on the website of the ministry and the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate.

MRIRW reminded that in Poland there is a ban on transporting lived tarful animals, in particular cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, animal products, and manure, straw and hay from these areas of Slovakia and Hungary, which are covered with foci pimples and buffer zones, directly related to confirmed bonfires, designated by Sanitar Sanitaria services, Węgia. and Austria.

Cross -border transport of live animals, animal products and manure, straw and hay from these countries are only possible by 10 designated border crossings. These are: in the province Podkarpackie Barwinek; in Lesser Poland – Chyżne and Piwniczna; Śląskie – Zwardoń, Boguszowice – Cieszyn, Gorzyczki (for traffic from the Czech Republic), Chałupki (for traffic from Slovakia); Opolskie – Trzebina and Głuchołazy; Dolnośląskie – Kudowa – salty.

The Ministry of Agriculture reminded that the basic principles of prevention and biosecurity should absolutely apply to all farmers, breeders and intermediaries in the transport of animals and goods. Animals introduced into the farm must come from a known source and be identified, while animals from outside Poland must be provided with a health certificate confirming their origin and health status, while in the case of pigs, the health certificate is also valid in domestic circulation.

Before including newly purchased animals in the herd, individuals should be isolated by a minimum of 14, preferably 21 days. Feeds, mulch imported to the farm must come from a fixed source and be stored in insulation from animals not from the farm.

The ministry emphasized that the contact of animals from the farm with other individuals, including pastures, should be reduced to a minimum, and animals should be fenced off.

It is also necessary to follow the principles of washing and disinfection after each use of devices and tools that are in contact with the animal stay. MRIRW recommends not using tools and equipment outside the farm.

It is also necessary to strictly observe the rules of personal hygiene before and after contact with animals, feed or litter. It is necessary to wash and disinfect hands (e.g. 0.2 percent with lemon acid solution) and a complete change in footwear and clothes.

In the entrances to livestock buildings, mats (cuvettes) with a disinfectant acting on the pimples virus should be used and completed this agent on an ongoing basis.

It is necessary to limit visits to bystanders on farms to the necessary minimum. “Consider on the farms a register of entrances and outputs of people and traffic of vehicles (entrances and trips), which is particularly important due to the upcoming meetings during Easter” – noted in the communiqué.

The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that in the event of observing the symptoms of an infectious disease in animals, in particular: elevated internal body heat to 40-42 degrees Celsius, salivation, lameness with changes on racice and inter -racor gaps or changes in the removal-you should immediately report it to the veterinarian, police or municipal authorities and keep any movement of animals, things and people from farms.

At the beginning of January this year, German veterinary services announced the statement of the first case in 37 years. The farm in which the disease occurred was about 70 km from the border with Poland. On February 19, German services informed about the examination of 7,000 samples in terms of pimples and instilling subsequent cases of the disease. In Germany, restrictions have already been removed, infected and threatened areas were liquidated, only – according to the EC's decision – the buffer zone until April 11 this year.

At the end of March, the Polish Veterinary Inspection said that the second bonfire of the pimples in Hungary was confirmed near the contact of Austrian, Czech and Slovak borders. The day before, Slovakia informed about the speech of the fourth bonfire in its area, the government introduced an extraordinary state throughout the country.

The pimples are a highly contagious and dangerous viral disease for animals. In the event of an outbreak of the disease, all animals on farms must be broken. The disease also attacks animals living wild. The last time in Poland a pimples appeared in 1971 (PAP)
