Easter on the Prahova Valley. How much does it cost, what possibilities of leisure you have

The ski season has been completed, but the hoteliers on the Prahova Valley are preparing new attractions, this time for Easter. Most offers include accommodation, breakfast, festive Easter, spa services, swimming pool, and temptations do not stop here.

For those who have not prepared their program for the Easter mini-vacation, but they do not want to stay at home, the offers launched by the hoteliers on the Prahova Valley can be a variant to consider.

If the weather is sunny there are multiple possibilities for spending free time in nature, and for the capricious spring days, the spa variants or the hotel units with sports fields are available. A lot of tourist attractions are also waiting for visitors, and the climbs on the mountain with the gondola or the cable car will also be accessible.

Prices, depending on the services offered

Few are the hoteliers who only embrace their tourists with the festive Easter table. Most prepared special packages for stays of three or four nights in which they also included SPA services, they provide the pool, organize children's activities, have prepared an artistic program, etc. The prices are also as the services offered and vary from just over 1,000 lei/person, in the three -star accommodation units, and can reach over 6,000 lei/stay, for two people, at four -star hotels.

At Valedor, a four-star hotel recently built at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains, which also offers SPA services, the Easter offer for three nights, between April 18-21, is 4,950 lei/stay in a double room (maximum occupancy regime and a child) and 5,650 lei/stay for the apartment (maximum two-year-old adult). Free access is provided to the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bar and relaxation area 3 hours/day, and for additional expenses (accommodation and meal) for children the offer is available on the site.

At the Mara Hotel in Sinaia the offers are for 2 nights, respectively 3 nights. In the single room for two nights of accommodation the price is 1,580 lei (2,000 lei for 3 nights), reaching up to 2,530 lei for two nights in Senior Suite room (3,205 lei for 3 nights). This price includes breakfast, for April 19-VIP treatment in the room and mini-buffet with red eggs, cozonac, Easter, wine and holy bread, and for April 20-Breakfast for holidays and festive Easter dinner. At the same price, free access to the SPA center (within the available places), interactive games and various activities for children. For children at most 6 years the accommodation is free if no extra bed is requested, and for the festive meal the cost is 100 lei/child. For children aged 6-14 years the costs increase, needing to pay a pack of 610 lei/ 2 nights or 760 lei for 3 nights, with extra bed in the room. The cost also increases for children over 14 years (840 lei/package for 2 nights, respectively 1,040 lei/package 3 nights). It is also necessary to pay a 50% advance for reservation and full payment of services before the start.

At Elexus, a four -star hotel in Predeal, a three -night stay costs 3,200 lei (single room), 4,800 lei in a double double room and can reach 6,200 lei in Deluxe apartment (3 persons).

The price includes accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner), receiving with red eggs, cozonac and wine at night, and depending on the weather conditions, tourists will be able to participate in the party with DJ at the pool, Barbeque and lamb in the restaurant garden, egg hunting. Free access is also offered in the SPA area (heated outdoor pool, two heated outer jacuzzi, sauna and saline).

The International Hotel (four *) in Sinaia has Easter offers for three nights. In the single room the price is 2,230 lei/room/3 nights (one person); 2,660 lei/double room/two persons; 3,860 lei Junior Suite/2 person room and can reach up to 5.060 lei/room/2 persons at One Bedroom Suite. This price includes breakfast (Swedish buffet), reception with eggs, coconut and red wine on the night of Resurrection, Brunch Pascal (on April 20, between 7.30 – 14.00), children's egg hunt, access to the SPA center, children's playground, parking. The tariff also includes free for a child up to 4 years old, for the child between the ages of 4 and 14, 515 lei/3 nights are needed to pay.

Special Easter packages also have Silver Mountain from Poiana Brașov. For three nights accommodation the prices start from 3,464 lei (for two people, double room) and reach 4,454 lei (for three people, apartment – bedroom plus living). The package includes accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner, Swedish buffet, festive Easter dinner), artistic program, live music, Kinder egg hunting, gifts, traditional reception and red eggs, wine and coconut on the night of Resurrection, but also free access to the spa (wet sauna, heated outdoor pool) within the limit of available places.

At the Gura Diham Bucegi cabin, for 4 days/3 nights the Easter package costs 3,170 lei/double room (2 persons). The package includes the accommodation services, the lifeguard fee, the Pascal breakfast, the festive Easter meal for 2 persons, the valuables for the table (A la carte) of 1200 lei / pack. For 4 nights accommodation (April 18-22) the package includes the lifeguard, Pascal breakfast, Easter festive meal, valuables for the table (a la carte) of 1,600 lei/package.

Leisure Services on Chosen

The rates announced by Holiday Complex Resort Fundata-Gorge Grădiștei, for the period April 18-21, vary between 2,300 lei (two adults) at Hotel Bucegi, Hotel Piatra Craiului or in three-star bungalows and reaches 2,895 lei for three adults or two adults and two children up to 14 years old. The package includes breakfast and festive dinner, but also a voucher for access to the spa/person and a rink/person access voucher.

Additional rates are charged for children over 14 years (for extra bed – 150 lei/stay, for festive dinner 400 lei and for breakfast 135 lei/stay).

It should be mentioned that the offer of leisure services to Fundata Resort, services that are offered for a fee, is very rich. These are the services offered in the center of SPA, but also: Alpin Coster (40 lei/route/adult and 30 lei/trace/child), tubing (15 lei/shift; 40 lei/3 laps), tennis court (40 lei/hour without equipment and 60 lei/hour with equipment), multifunctional land (streetball, handball, football), mini/hour, lei/hour; 60 lei/4 hours or 90 lei/day/bicycle), electric bicycles (120 lei/hour, 180 lei/2, 240 lei/3 hours), scooters (20 lei/hour), Adventure Park (40 lei/adult route or child over 12 years, 30 lei/child trace less than 12 years), carts, car rental (300 lei/UTV) 70 lei/90 minutes, with own skates 40 lei/90 minutes) etc ..

Leisure services can be found outside hotels. At Poiana Brașov, for example, a model with the model ATV 2025 costs 250 lei/hour (max. 2 persons), in this cost the guide being provided, but also a protective suit. Family buggys, which have from two to six places, can be rented for 350 lei/2 places/hour, and assistance on the route is also provided.

For a carriage ride the cost is 300 lei/hour (for maximum eight people) or 150 lei/half hour, and for one hour of riding – 150 lei (or 100 lei/half hour).

Accommodation, table and wine tasting can be found at the Rhein cellars in Azuga. Here the Easter packages have costs from 1,350 lei (3 nights/single room) and can reach 2,800 lei/3 nights/senior suite, in this price offering accommodation, breakfast, festive Easter menu, receiving with a foamy wine and 10% discount on visit and wine tasting for minimum groups of eight people.

“They can do hiking, until April it is green, they can ride the bicycle, they can go to the pool, they can do squash, to pamper them, to visit tourist goals – they are usually open. They can also go with Gondola, in Sinaia, or the telegondola, in Azuga, they can climb the mountain from height, because some do not travel all the time and it is something new to them. At the hotels where Easter party is organized, they usually have an egg hunt for children, brunch (breakfast later) for those who go to the Resurrection Night. Some also make campfire, things like this. (…) There are also hotels that have chosen not to make special packages, they prefer to give the normal tariff, they do not make additional events. There are tourists who choose to make their program, others want to find everything at destinations ”detailed Anda Popa, the secretary of the Association for the Promotion and Development of Tourism Prahova. Popa also mentioned that there are multiple bicycle routes, including roads that cross Dealu Mare vineyards.
