For people from the “Baby Boomers” generation, i.e. over 60 years of age, the percentage of people assessing that Poland has great development potential amounted to 84 percent. In turn, in a group from 44 to 59 years (so-called generation X) it is 75 percent, and in the group of the youngest, i.e. generations Y (28-43 years) and from (18-27 years)-66 percent.
At the same time, the largest percentage of the youngest believes that in terms of development Poland lags behind other European countries. Among young people (generation Z) it is 55 percent, and in group 28-59 this percentage drops to 40 percent. In the oldest studied group is 33 percent. “Representatives of the Baby Boomers generation also more often attribute to Poles the energy, ambition and ability to achieve the intended goals. The younger respondents perceive Poland rather through the prism of passivity and resignation,” the authors noted.
