Director of the Krasnoyarsk travel agency sent for forced labor for customer deception

In Krasnoyarsk, the court sentenced the director of 1000 round LLC for the enforcement of customers in the amount of more than 2.9 million rubles.

The prosecutor’s office reminded that in the tourist business a woman worked for more than 20 years. Problems arose for a long time, which, according to the supervisory authority, also spoke customer reviews. Due to inaccurate information when registering, the woman herself was a ban in the tax service for registering a business. Therefore, in 2018, she issued a 1000 round company to her daughter.

In 2019–2020 23 agent contracts for 3 million rubles were concluded. These were tours to Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Cyprus, the UAE. Tourists paid for them from 24 thousand to 337 thousand rubles. The prosecutor's office noted that business–Lady used a not quite honest scheme: She convinced the tourists to make full payment for the tour, and then she spent part of the money on herself, and with tour operators was calculated by the money of the following customers.

This time the money was spent in the same way, among other things, she paid them to her daughter's salary.

The “moment of truth” came into the pandemic. The influx of customers was reduced, and the money was spent – there was nothing to pay for 23 rounds. The company closed, most tourists were left without their armor in hotels and money. The woman did not accept the first claims of the investigator. She denied any guilt. The problem in the business “attributed” to the pandemic and its consequences, they told the prosecutor's office.

However, the court found the woman guilty of fraud (part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced to 2 years 8 months forced work with maintaining wages of 10% in state revenue. The damage caused to the Krasnoyarsk was compensated.
