Black -ofch weapon is a kind of firearm, in which black gunpowder is used as a thrilling material – a mixture of nitrate, charcoal and sulfur. It was widely used from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, before it was replaced by a weapon that used the bunch of smokeless.
Policemen emphasize that black -ofch weapons can be as dangerous as contemporary firearms. The head of the Independent Self -Governing Trade Union of Policemen Rafał Jankowski notes that with such a weapon you can deprive life in the same way as using acute weapons, and sometimes it is even more effective.
He also indicates that officers during the intervention are not able to determine in advance whether such a weapon may be used against them.
Statistics show that in the last six years using black -scholar weapons have been killed or attempted to kill 32 people, including policemen. In addition, 105 people committed suicide with it.
