The men joked about millions of transactions and dividing the prison goal. This caught the attention of investigators, and thanks to further investigation, the police discovered that the 34-year-old who is not distinguished at first glance is essentially the head of the drug trading group.

The investigation reveals “Polana” and millions of transactions
Thanks to the 9 -month surveillance of Andrews, the investigators reached a place called “Polana”. Hidden in the forest on the outskirts of the highway from London to Wales, the area was a place where numerous criminal transactions took place. As a secret officer admitted: “You could only go there when you knew about it or had specific tips.”
One of the transactions transed by the police was an exchange with the participation of a taxi driver from Newport, who was detained by the police immediately after leaving the “Polana”. Cocaine was found in his vehicle worth almost a million zlotys, and the profits were to be sent to Andrews Jr.
A raid of the house and evidence from the phone
The investigation reached the climax just before Christmas 2023. The detectives raid the house of Andrews Jr in Newport, during which the man tried to throw his phone on the wardrobe in the bedroom. The device was recovered and its content revealed detailed transaction diaries – from orders to settlements with suppliers – and photos of large piles of cash. A modest father from the suburbs of the Welsh city turned out to be a key form of organized crime. A 34-year-old man operated as a leader of a multi-million drug empire that sold cocaine and heroin on a massive scale.
Profits from the operation were huge-in just two weeks the 34-year-old made six payments to suppliers worth 765 thousand. pounds, or over PLN 3 million.

An ordinary house, without extravagance and luxury cars
“There was no extravagance in him, there was no indication that this person was a drug dealer,” said a secret officer, describing the image of Andrews JR in an interview with BBC. The boss of the drug mafia “looked like an average guy, he always wore work clothes, lived in an ordinary house, with a partner and children” – added a police representative. Not being in the eye, the lack of luxury cars and designer clothes were to be its protection against detection.
In addition, the gang leader used advanced authentication methods when he contacted couriers.

Andrews JR admitted two allegations – a conspiracy to provide cocaine and heroin and actual supply of these drugs. At the beginning of this month he was sentenced to 14 years and eight months imprisonment. The judge at Newport Crown Court additionally expressed indignation by the fact that the man even engaged his mother in criminal actions.
