Gigi Becali (67 years old), his boss FCSBannounced that tomorrow, June 1, he was trying to get in touch with Kennedy Boateng (29 years old), central defender who has just finished his two-season adventure at the rival Dinamo.

The Togolese played his last match for Dinamo in the Conference League play-off final, losing to rival FCSB 1-2 in extra time after 1-1 in regular time. A few hours after the match, Boateng announced his separation from Dinamo, at the end of his contract.

Gigi Becali recently learned from Adrian Ilie that Boateng has not yet signed with any club and mentioned that he thinks he is an interesting player. Today, Boateng's manager, Tony Appiah, fueled the possibility of the player's move to FCSB, saying he has nothing against negotiating with Becali.

In an intervention on the show “Footbal Club” from Digi Sport, Gigi Becali was asked about the new events that appeared in the subject of Kennedy Boateng, and the boss of FCSB let it be understood that he will start negotiations with the former player of Dinamo.

Let's look for him, if he said so. We are doing as we did with Bîrligea. Tomorrow we act! I saw his interview and he said that the problem does not arise in Romania. That's why I wasn't interested. If his agent said he could, tomorrow…“.

No one from Steaua Bucharest called me, and the player did not sign any contract with any club in Saudi Arabia. There are offers from Saudi Arabia, but he hasn't signed yet.

If an offer comes from Steaua Bucharest, we will think about this aspect. I think the negotiations in Saudi Arabia are very close to completion.

If I am called by the people from Steaua, of course I am open to negotiate with them. It is certain that Boateng will not stay at Dinamo in the next season as well.

Kennedy Boateng arrived at Dinamo in the summer of 2024, free of contract after parting with Lustenau.

In the two seasons he spent at Dinamo, Boateng ticked off 75 matches, during which he scored 8 goals and provided two decisive assists. Throughout his career, the Togolese has played for WAFA, LASK, Ried and Santa Clara.
