The message was published on Saturday on the WP General Staff profile on the portal X. “The first Polish pilot completed the instructor course on the F-35 Lightning II fighter in Ebbing Air National Guard Base. This is another step in building the defense potential of Poland and strengthening cooperation with our American allies. Congratulations to the pilot and the entire training team”

The entry was made available on his profile by the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army General Wiesław Kukuła. “In the coming days, this training will be completed by another air force instructor,” he added.

Ultimately, the F-35 together with F-16 fighters will be the core of Polish combat aviation. They were ordered in the USA in 2020 together with the support and training system for around $ 4.6 billion. Deliveries are to last from 2026 to 2030.

The F-35 fighter is designed for air fight, attacking ground goals and reconnaissance tasks, assuming that he will be able to act on the territory of the opponent thanks to high situational awareness and reduced detection, which is provided by the shaped shaped of the airframe and coatings absorbing radar radiation. For this reason, the aircraft will not receive traditional white and red chessboards, the markings will be made in reduced visibility technology using coatings of various shades of gray, used to cover the aircraft.
