At the end of the service, the head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolitan turned to believers:
âBrothers and sisters, today the Cross of Christ will be exalted over our great Yenisei, which will protect our God -sleeping city from all sorts of machinations of the devil. This event is also important, because it is a symbol of our faith, a symbol of the fact that the Lord did not leave our edge with his protection and his help, His blessing. We are carriers and successors of the faith of our fathers, grandfathers and great -grandfathers. This is a very symbolic event in which we all take part with you, it is for centuries. I believe that this small temple will stand from family to family, and our descendants will come here and pray to the Lord, the Blessed Virgin, the righteous Joachim and Anna. â
For technical reasons, immediately after consecration, the structure could not be raised to the tent. For this, a separate day will be allocated – presumably next week.
Metropolitan Nikita also said that on September 22, the first divine liturgy will be committed in the Church of Joachim and Anna: âI invite everyone to this a great event – after all, the first time the most important service of our Orthodox Church is the holy Eucharist to be performed at this place.â
Recall that the small temple in honor of the parents of the Virgin began build Across the road from the Philharmonic, near the Saint Nicholas Steamboat-Museum, in February 2023. Later It was decided that it would become part of the complex of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, destroyed in 1936.
