The heads of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation were reported to suspicion in Ukraine. The GBR talked about their help in the execution of Euromaidan


“They through their subordinates contributed to the excess of official powers [украинскими правоохранителями]the use of excessive strength, special equipment and weapons, which led to the murders and injuries of the shares, ”the report said.

According to the investigation, by agreement of Bortnikov and Kolokoltsev with the then leadership of the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a group of employees of Russian FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived in Kyiv.

Among other things, they participated in the planning of power overclocking the protesters and ensured the supply of Russian grenades to Ukraine, which were illegally used against protesters.

“The acceleration plan under the guise of an anti -terrorist operation was implemented on February 18-19, 2014, as a result of which 13 people and more than 250 were injured,” the report said.

After the revolution of dignity, Russian officials helped Ukrainian security forces hide from justice, providing them with passports and positions in the aggressor of the Russian Federation, summarized in the GBR.


Context

From November 21, 2013 to the end of February 2014, protests took place throughout Ukraine, which was called Euromaidan, and later the revolution of dignity. The protesters were opposed by law enforcement agencies and armed bandits (titles) hired by the authorities. After the mass execution of activists on February 18–20 from the country to the Russian Federation Ex-president Viktor Yanukovych fled.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, February 18–20 in the center of Kyiv 67 civilians were killed. In total, 887 civilian and 132 law enforcement officers were injured in those days.

In May 2024, the GBR already informed Bortnikov about the suspicion of “organizing the commissioning of state treason by the former leadership of the SBU, inciting national hostility and hatred in Ukraine and illegal obstacle to protest actions in 2013-2014.”
