Netanyahu appeals to Qatar for the release of Hamas leaders. Israel threatens actions

Netanyahu compared Israel's actions to US operations aimed at terrorists after the attacks of September 11, 2001, which falls on Thursday.

– We have September 11, we remember on October 7. On that day, Islamist terrorists made the greatest cruelty to Jews since the Holocaust – said the Israeli prime minister in a speech announced on social media on Thursday evening. Netanyahu emphasized that Israel does exactly the same as the US, which attacked terrorists from Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

On October 7, the ruling Gaza Hamas zone invaded the south of Israel, killing about 1,200 people. The attack began the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip to this day. Hamas's political management has been residing in Qatar for years. Israel announced that Tuesday's attack was aimed at the leaders of this organization protecting there.

Israel attacked Qatar

Hamas and Media reported that five people were killed in the raid, but there were no group leaders among them. Israeli officials cited in the media on Thursday admitted that the attack probably did not bring the “desired result” and could not be killed in Hamas leaders.

Qatar reacted with a sharp criticism of Israel. Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman As-Sani already on Tuesday stated that his state would react to an Israeli attack, calling him a gross violation of international principles and law and a breakthrough moment for the Middle East.

The Prime Minister Sani also accused Israel of “having chaos” in the region. In a Wednesday interview for CNN, he announced a convening of a regional summit on an Israeli raid and announced that the runny nose would make a “comprehensive” assessment of his actions in the region, including his role of a mediator in negotiations about a truce in the Gaza Strip.

Qatar formally does not maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, but plays an important role in the region, including thanks to the close alliance from the USA.

Hamas said that the Israeli attack on Doha was aimed at the building where its leaders discussed the latest American truce proposal.

Fighting does not stop in the Gaza Zone. Israel continues the offensive to the city of Gaza. According to medical sources cited by the Reuters agency, at least 30 people were killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
