CFR Cluj announced the transfer of goalkeeper Octavian Vâlceanu, 28, brought to replace the Italian Alessandro Micai, freely after the disappointing performances this season.
Valceanu was free of contract from the end of the previous season, when he broke up with Concordia Chiajna. It has also evolved in the first league for the Academica Clinceni, Gaz Metan, Ploiești Petrol and FC Voluntari.

“We are happy to announce that, starting today, Octavian Vâlceanu is the new goalkeeper of our team! We welcome them, a lot of enough and as many achievements with our club!”, The Transylvanian statement said.
Vâlceanu will have the mission to replace Alessandro Micai, the experienced Italian goalkeeper who had been brought in early July! Micai played twice for CFR and was wrong every time, 2-1 with Unirea Slobozia and 3-3 with FC Botosani.
Micai could return to Serie B, where he played the most and where he has concrete offers.
