“We offer to cook fat for the winter according to the recipe of our expert and chef Alex Yakutov. We cut the lard in pieces, then shift it with layers with salt, rosemary and thyme,” the site says.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of fat;
- 330 g of salt;
- 30 g of sugar;
- three sprigs of rosemary;
- three thygroits;
- Five peas of pepper;
- Three laurel sheets.
Cooking
- Cut the lard in large and identical pieces.
- Put on the bottom of the container part of the rosemary, thyme, pepper and bay leaf.
- Put the lard on top, and on it – the rest of the spices.
- Mix coarse and nitrite salts with sugar. Pour in part of the mixture of the lard.
- Press the lard with a lid and leave to salt for six days.
