The lack of Poland does not bother the fans. They support these teams during the World Cup

A study conducted by K+ Research by Insight Lab shows that as many as 65 percent respondents plan to support another national team during the tournament. Spain enjoys the greatest recognition, indicated by almost every fifth respondent. The main motivations for choosing other teams are the style of play and sympathy for a given country.

— The lack of the Polish national team at the World Cup certainly changes the way we experience the tournament, but it does not take away from fans the emotions associated with the World Cup itself. Our research shows that the majority of football fans still want to actively participate in the tournament, follow its heroes and support a team with which they can identify. The World Cup remains a unique event that goes beyond the boundaries of national teams and attracts fans with stories, competition and the unpredictability of sport – comments Adrian SztukSenior Brand Manager at Betclic Polska, a legal Polish bookmaker on whose behalf the study was conducted.
