A message about the theft in the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was received in June. A 78-year-old woman said that in September 2024 she left for another country and returned home recently. Upon returning, the pensioner found that all household appliances for a total of 852 thousand rubles disappeared from the apartment.
Her granddaughter had the keys to the apartment so that he from time to time check the housing. The 32-year-old man was detained.
“During the absence of his relative during the year, he stole a microwave, a dishwasher, an oven, an extract, a refrigerator, a freezer and a TV and handed over the property to a pawnshop, planning to return it later. However, the man spent the proceeds on personal needs. During the investigation, part of the stolen property managed to find and return the legal owner, ”the police said.
In relation to the attacker, the investigative department opened a criminal case under the article “Theft”. He faces up to six years in prison. The criminal investigation has been completed.
