Three weak earthquakes occurred this morning in Romania, one in Banat and two in Vrancea, with magnitude between 2.1 and 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale.

According to the information published by the National Institute for Research and Development for Earth Physics (INCDFP), the strongest of the three earthquakes produced on Saturday morning, with a magnitude of 3.2 degrees, was at 8:08, in Banat, Timiș county.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 18.7 km near the following cities: 29 km southeast of Szeged, 58 km east of subotica, 70 km west of Arad, 71 km northwest of Timisoara, 76 km north of Zrenjanin and 85 km southwest of Bekescsaba.

The other two earthquakes with even smaller magnitude, 2.1 and 2.7 degrees on the Richter scale occur in the Vrancea area, the first at 4:10, and the second at 6:05.

In the first 12 days of April, nine earthquakes occurred in Romania, with magnitude between 2 and 3.2 degrees.

Last year, the most important earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 and occurred in Buzau County on September 16.
