The new school year will start on September 8, in a tense atmosphere, after the Bolojan government announced a series of unpopular measures targeting teachers, teachers, educators and even students.

The students from Cluj-Napoca and from the neighboring localities that are part of the metropolitan area escape, at least partially, by the austerity policies of the Government. They will continue to benefit from free public transport, through the Cluj-Napoca Public Transport Company (CTP). Starting with September 3, the free subscriptions for students can be loaded on the card at the stations and the CTP selling centers.

„The students enrolled in the school year 2025-2026 in the pre-university education units (primary, secondary, high school and post-secondary) in the municipality of Cluj-Napoca and the communes of the Metropolitan area (Florești, Baciu, Apahida, Gilău, Ciurila, Ciurila, FELECU Săvădisla), benefits from free of charge to the local public transport and metropolitan throughout the school year, according to Law no.198/2023 and HCL Cluj-Napoca no.711/2023.”, Announces CTP representatives.

Loading the free subscription for students per transport card is done as follows: “The students who had subscriptions from Cluj-Napoca for the previous school year, can extend the same subscription to the machines in the stations, before the expiration, ie until 30.09.2025. Necessary documents

Students who need metropolitan subscriptions (depending on the commune from which they move), students who have not had a transport card or have lost it, as well as students who cannot extend the automatic subscription are expected at CTP selling centers. For this, they must have the following documents to them:
