Ten parliamentarians from PO and SOS Romania announced on Monday that they are a new parliamentary group at the Chamber of Deputies. Among them are the deputy Dorin Popa, who accused the leader can Anamaria Gavrilă of threatening, and Ciprian Ciubuc, excluded from the SOS after a scandal with Diana Şoșoaca.

“The undersigned, deputies in the Romanian Parliament, […] I decided to set up the independent parliamentary group within the Chamber of Deputies ”, it is shown in the constitutive act of the new parliamentary group.

According to the regulation, the group – consisting of six deputies who were in PO and four in the SOS – will be presented to the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies at the beginning of the September -December parliamentary session.

The representatives of the Parliament stated for HotNews.ro that the request for setting up the group was sent to the Commission for the Regulation, for a point of view.

Who are the 10 deputies

The group consists of Aurora Simu, Dumitrița Albu, Andrei Csillag, Călin Groza, Gheorghe Pîclişan and Dorin Popa – all chosen on the lists can go in May -, but also Mariana Vârgă, Rodica Popleanu, Laurențiu Făget and Ciprian Ciubuc, leaving SOS in June.

In May, they resigned from PE from six of the 20 deputies elected on the party lists led by Anamaria Gavrilă. In order for a party to have a group in the Chamber of Deputies, it is necessary to have at least 10 parliamentary members, and now they can still have 14. Following the wave of resignations in May, they can be left without a parliamentary group in the Senate.

The list of the new parliamentary group includes Dorin Popa, the deputy who left the formation in May, after accusing that he was threatened by the president, Anamaria Gavrilă.

The deputy claims that Gavrilă threatened to enter the “head in the wall” and “will remain breathless”.

“” He sent me a message on Saturday, at the weekend, how to stay quiet, if I do not want to hit my head in the wall. It sounded threatening, I asked. I will hit my head or that my breath would be cut. I had no discussion with her. said the deputy for Hotnews at the time.

In the messages between Popa and Gavrilă, which Hotnews saw, at one point the leader can send the deputy that “it is intelligent to not try to break the wall.” Subsequently, in another message, Gavrilă writes to Popa: “Reassure not to lose your breath again.”

A deputy from the new parliamentary group was excluded from the SOS

Among the ten deputies who form the new independent parliamentary group are Ciprian Ciubuc, left from SOS in June, after a public scandal with the party leader, Diana Şoșoaca.

Deputy Ciubuc and Diana Şoșoaca published several messages in the public space in June in which they brought each other. According to the local publication, the monitor of Neamț, Ciubuc, who is a deputy by Neamț, has publicly accused him of having a “authoritarian” manner when it comes to leading the party. In reply, the driver accused Ciubuc of being violent, in the family, and that he had been assaulted twice.

SOS Romania remained with 17 deputies, according to the information on the website of the Chamber of Deputies.
