Bravo, Bravo-CRP. Alarm steps in Poland. What do they mean?
Alarm steps are determined by the prime minister at the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration or the Internal Security Agency (ABW). Alarm steps are primarily a signal for services so that they are ready to act.
The introduction of the second degree, i.e. Bravo, testifies to the existing and predictable risk of terrorist events. In practice, this means increased vigilance of public administration and intensification of preventive activities.
In turn, the Bravo-CRP degree, also the second on a four-stage scale, focuses on the safety of ICT systems. It requires public administration to monitor and protect digital infrastructure against potential threats.
Prime Minister Tusk's decision emphasizes the importance of security both in the country and abroad. In particular, it draws attention to the protection of Polish energy infrastructure abroad, which can be of key importance in the context of growing geopolitical tensions and cyber threats.
The extension of the alarm degrees is a signal for the services to be in full readiness for action.
