The Houthi rebels in Yemen announced on Saturday the death of the “Prime Minister” and several ministers in the air blows of Israel, which targeted the capital Sana on Thursday, AFP reports.

“We announce the martyrdom of the Lupătorul Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi, the head of the government, together with several of his ministers in the aggression launched on Thursday by the Israeli enemy during a Sana session,” a statement from the Houthi militia, quoted by Al-Massirah said.

According to the statement, “several of their colleagues were injured, some seriously.”

The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it had bombed a “military target” in the capital of Yemenita.

Supported by Iran, Houthi controls the vast areas of the country in the civil war in 2014, including the capital of Sanaa, where they have installed their own political institutions.

Stating that they act in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza, the territory in which the war between Israel and Hamas takes place, Houthi periodically launches the rocket and drone attack on Israel, but most are intercepted.

On Wednesday, Houthi claimed a rocket attack against Israel, which was intercepted, according to the Israeli army.

In recent months, they also attacked ships off the Yemen, who would have links with Israel.

Israel has launched several attacks on Yemen, as reprisals, especially targeting the western country and Sana Airport.
