The Ukrainian army announced on Saturday that it had hit the Russian oil refineries overnight in Krasnodar and Syzran, Kiev thus continuing its campaign to attack oil and fuel processing and storage facilities.
“The important installations of the Russian aggressor were hit,” the Ukrainian General Staff said, adding that the attack is “part of reducing the offensive potential of the enemy and complicating the fuel supply of the military units.
“Defense forces take action to undermine the offensive potential of Russian invaders and force the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine,” added the Ukrainian army.
According to Kiev, there were multiple explosions and a fire at the Krasnodar oil refinery, in the south of Russia, which produces 3 million tons of light petroleum products annually.

The Russian authorities in Krasnodar said that the remains of a drone had damaged one of the units of the refinery and that a fire broke out on an area of ​​300 square meters, according to Reuters.
The fire was later extinguished, the Russian authorities said on Telegram, adding that there were no victims, and the employees were evacuated.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has said that he had shot down 11 Ukrainian drones above the Krasnodar region during the night.
Also, a fire broke out in the area of ​​the Syzran refinery in the Samara region, which had a processing capacity of 8.5 million tonnes a year before August, said the Ukrainian army. This refinery was hit once this month by Ukrainians.
Samarea's regional governor confirmed an attempt to attack an industrial unit during the night, but did not provide other details.
Clips on social networks show that the refinery was hit at least once.
