The United States will provide engineering, technical and logistics services for Starlink terminals, the report said. Additionally, the agreement will include software and logistics support from the US government and contractor, Starlink Services. The approximate cost of these services is $ 150 million, the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
In addition, the State Department decided to sell Patriot system service and related equipment in the amount of $ 179.1 million. The package of services will include:
- spare parts and software;
- sets for modifications;
- test equipment and communications;
- repair;
- storage and training;
- Technical assistance to American experts.
The main contractors for this agreement will be RTX Corporation and Lockheed Martin, the Pentagon military cooperation department emphasizes.
DSCA notes that these agreements will support US foreign policy and strengthen national security, strengthening the defense capacity of Ukraine. They added that they predict that the services provided by services and equipment will help Ukraine counteract the current and future threats and strengthen the air defense potential.
The agreements will not affect the military balance in the region, their implementation will not require the direction of additional representatives of the US government or contractors to Ukraine, and the US Congress has already received a notification of certification of both agreements, the press service emphasized.
