US Vice President JD Vance accused the administration of the previous President Joe Biden on Wednesday, the lack of an idea and willingness to end the war in Ukraine. In an interview for the “USA Today” newspaper, he assessed that despite “certain differences of sentences” the current administration has good relations with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski.

“What has always been deeply disturbed by these relations is not so much Ukrainians as the American side, and specifically the democratic administration of Joe Biden,” said Vance. The US Vice President emphasized that the previous leader of the United States allocated $ 128 billion to help Ukraine after Russia's invasion.

“Zelanski came to Washington and went with billions of dollars without a specific purpose, without any real diplomacy, without any serious reflection, what to buy for these billions of dollars,” said Vance.

He added that “Biden administration had no plan how to end the war.” “And it always frustrated me much more than that Zelanski asked for help,” emphasized the American vice president.

Ukraine “became like a sack to which we threw money without any plan to solve the problem,” said Vance.

The American Vice President also referred to the famous US leader Donald Trump and Zelanski, which in February occurred in the oval office of the White House. After the incident, it was speculated that the US Vice President was to deliberately provoke the Ukrainian leader to publicly ridicule him.

“Sometimes people do not agree. Do I regret that there was a public row in the oval office? Not necessarily. I think it was good, that American society saw it,” said Vance in an interview with “USA Today”.

He also assured that the current US authorities were “quite consistent” with the President of Ukraine as to further efforts to peace and added that Washington would “continue to work for peace.”

“Even if we have some differences of sentences, of course we want to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity. We don't want Russia to conquer the whole country,” said the US Vice President.

Vance added that “the best solution for everyone, including the United States, would be to stop killing and bringing this matter to a peaceful solution.” (PAP)
