Ciprian Ciucu, mayor of Sector 6 and first vice-president of the PNL, said on Wednesday that he is “good” in the party's internal polls regarding the elections for the Capital City Hall, Agerpres reports.

On Sunday, the course published a survey in which Ciprian Ciucu is at a score of 11%, under Cătălin Drulă from USR (20%) and Daniel Băluță from PSD (24%). Shortly after, PNL also published a survey, conducted by Inscop, in which Ciprian Ciucu is in the second position, with a double score compared to the one in the course research. In the first place is the Social Democrat Daniel Băluță.

The Liberal is confident that he would win the poll “detached” if he had been supported by a PNL-USR alliance.

“Detaled. There is a poll, it is not ordered by me, but he exists. I would beat Călin Georgescu in Bucharest. It is the only place in the country in which Călin Georgescu would lose the elections,” Ciprian Ciucu said on Wednesday.

Ciucu, who said that PNL will have a candidate in the electoral race in the Capital, claims that he is “good” in the party's internal polls.

“In these polls, yes, I am fine. This, somehow, obliges me, but I would not want to announce any candidacy or to hurry or something like this, until we have a date of elections and until we have all the coalition partners,” added the mayor of Sector 6.

He said that such discussions will be initiated after the date of elections for the Capital City Hall will be set.

“Obviously, we will talk to everyone at first. Obviously, our predilection is at this time to USR. Especially since many people in the USR appreciated my activity, public presence. And for me it is important not to disappoint them,” said the first vice-president of the PNL.

The Liberal also stated that between the parties in the ruling coalition there is no “an electoral alliance”, so every formation “does what strategy wants” in the elections in the Capital.

What did he say about the election date

Speaking of the date of elections, the Liberal said that the law “is not negotiable” and must be respected. “

“The law must be respected. We are fighting the law? You cannot say: 'You make choices when it suits me.'
