Donald Trump again gave Putin time without punishment. “We'll see whose fault it is”

Asked by the journalist Alyyna Treene from CNN, whether there is a possibility that he will do nothing if Putin does not sit at the negotiating table, Trump replied: “We'll see. I will see whose fault it is.
– If there are reasons, I will understand them. I know exactly what I am doing. We will see if the meeting will take place – it will be interesting – and if it does not take place, why? Because I told them to meet – said Trump.
“But in two weeks I will know what to do,” Trump added, repeating the schedule, which he announced many times to assess Putin's readiness until the end of the war in Ukraine.
Two weeks for Putin
The last comments of the US president fell when the dynamics around peace talks slowed down and there are no signs that the double -sided meeting promoted by the White House would take place. Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ławrow said earlier on Friday that there were no plans to meet both leaders.
After Trump met with Putin in Alaska last week and hosted Zelanski and European leaders in the White House at the beginning of this week, he suggested the possibility of a double -sided meeting, which could then be expanded to include a tripartite meeting with his participation.
– You understand that I wanted to meet them two. I could be at this meeting, but many people think nothing will come of it. “You have to be there.” Maybe it's true. Maybe not. But we'll see. Meanwhile, people are still dying – said Trump, which CNN quotes.
Trump repeated his two -week time frame several times. – We'll see what will happen. I think that in two weeks we will know which way I will go, because I will go in one or the other, and they will find out which one.
