“These onion cutlets are so tasty that no one can believe that they are without meat. They are gentle, juicy and even in appearance not to be distinguished from classic meat cutlets. Such onion cutlets can be prepared in post or just to diversify the diet. The recipe is very budgetary and very tasty. Such cutlets are very similar to meat,” the recipe said.

Ingredients:

  • onions – 500 g;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • 100 g of semolina;
  • two eggs;
  • salt, pepper to taste;
  • Seasoning to meat – 1 tsp;
  • frying oil;
  • 1.5 cups of tomato juice.

Cooking

  1. Peel the onion and cut into a small cube. We also cut the garlic finely. We transfer the garlic and onion to a deep bowl and add eggs, salt, pepper, seasoning to meat and semolina there. Mix everything thoroughly. We leave the mass for 10-15 minutes so that the semolina swells.
  2. Warm up the pan with oil. From onion minced meat, we form cutlets and put it in a pan. Fry on both sides until golden crust. Remove cutlets from the pan.
  3. Dilute 2-3 tbsp. l. tomato paste per 1.5 cups of water. Pour tomato juice into the pan and bring to a boil. We put the cutlets into the juice, make a small fire and simmer the cutlets under the closed lid for another 15 minutes. If desired, at the end of cooking, you can sprinkle cutlets with greens.

The recipe description noted that these cutlets are well sculpted and do not break up. And also turn out to be very tasty, juicy and delicate.
