The court sentenced a military man who beat a stranger in Krasnoyarsk to his death.
The conflict between the two men occurred in February 2025 in one of the cafes of the regional center. Wanting to punish his offender, the soldier led him out into the street and inflicted at least three blows to the citizen with his fist on the head, as well as one blow with his left knee and right hand in the head. When the man fell, the ordinary continued to severely beat him.
“As a result of injuries, the victim died a few days later in a medical institution,” the United press service of the courts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory said.
A criminal case was opened on the military under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim by negligence). The court found him guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 8 years with serving a maximum security penal colony.
The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
