Express controls L4. Employers check employees in 24 hours


Entrepreneurs from the sector of small and medium -sized enterprises are increasingly using express controls of their employees' sick leave – according to the data of the consulting company Conperio, which counteracts abuse in the field of sick leave. Over the past year, the number of single L4 controls has increased drastically, by 20 percent.
Such controls take place very quickly – the entrepreneur fills out an online short form or reports control through the appropriate system. Controllers to the indicated address can reach up to 24 hours and the location does not matter here.
The controller checks whether the employee is in the place indicated on the printout of the sick leave or is applied to medical recommendations and does not take extra work. The control report goes directly to the employer.

– We are observing a clear trend. Employers are no longer waiting for repetitive absences or long dismissals. They react immediately when a shadow of doubt arises. More and more orders concern individual, selected cases – says labor market expert, president of Conperio Mikołaj Zając.
Employers are trying to eliminate possible abuse and want to know if their employees are honest. The most suspicious are short layoffs, repetitive or taken around Christmas.
