About 500 inhabitants of the rural outback of the Krasnoyarsk Territory received a reliable coating of the LTE network and a confident receipt of the signal both at home and on the street.
MegaFon became the first mobile operator to build the base stations in the village of Sterlitamak of the Aban district and in the village of Berezovka Achinsky District.

Of the objects of social infrastructure, there is a feldsher-obstetric station, and the nearest school is located in the district center-the village of Aban, located 15 kilometers.
The base station built in Sterlitamak will allow local residents to always remain in touch with relatives and friends, and if necessary to contact emergency services. They can also receive remote medical advice from narrow specialists or call a doctor at home. Voice calls are available both in the 2G standard and according to modern VOLTE technology. The service provides a crystal clear sound and an instant connection – the subscriber can communicate by phone without losing the quality of the signal and at the same time use the Internet.
More than 300 people were waiting for a cellular connection in the village of Berezovka. There is a school in the village, the feldsher-obstetric center and the House of Culture. Mobile Internet 4G at maximum speed up to 50 Mbps will allow residents to call in the video, receive public services, pay bills and use banking applications at a convenient time, download and upload “heavy” files in a matter of minutes, make purchases and listen to music online, watch films in high resolution, communicate in messengers and social networks.
“Expanding the accessibility of 4G is an important part of the company's work in the region. We strive to create equal “digital” opportunities for all subscribers, regardless of where they live – in a large city or a small village. Mobile Internet makes life not only more comfortable, but also promising. Rural residents can study new professions, find remote work, develop their business through online stores. The younger generation will be easier to prepare for classes, use educational platforms and an electronic journal, for example, not only at school, but also at home, ”said Danila Budanov, the technical director of MegaFon in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The construction of the infrastructure was under the framework of the State Program of the Krasnoyarsk Territory “Development of the Information Society” in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and regional administrations.
“We are faced with the goal of developing and successfully introducing a variety of digital services, transferring public services to electronic format. In order for residents of rural territories to use them, the corresponding telecom infrastructure is needed, the construction of which is currently underway thanks to the regional and federal budgets. The development of cellular communications is one of the key directions of the national project “Economics of Data and Digital Transformation of the State”. Thanks to state support, 81 settlements of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will gain access to the mobile Internet this year, ”said Nikolai Raspin, Minister of Digital Development of the region.
