The oldest hotel in the Krasnoyarsk Territory was opened after restoration

In the historical center of Minusinsk, after a large -scale restoration, the oldest hotel of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – “Mikhailovskaya” again opened its doors. This was reported in the press service of the regional government.

It is located in the architectural monument, built in 1890 at the expense of the local merchant Minaev. The revival of the hotel has become one of the key projects for the 200th anniversary of Minusinsk.

Specialists restored the historical appearance of the facade, restored brickwork and unique panels, and also strengthened the supporting structures and completely redeemed the interior.

Before the revolution, the hotel bore the name “Metropol”. However, this name is now impossible to use, since the copyright holder of the brand did not give his consent. The solution was found in the archives: it turned out that Lenin Street, on which the building stands, was once called in honor of the first king from the Romanov dynasty. So the new name was born – “Mikhailovskaya.”

Now the updated hotel plans to become a center of attraction for tourists and newlyweds. The plans include the development of wedding tourism.

“We plan to develop wedding tourism by attracting couples in love for registration of marriage to the Minusinsk registry office, which is located in the historical building of the 19th century. We will offer the newlyweds to the newlyweds “noble” or “merchant” wedding, ”said Andrei Ignatenko, head of the registry office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

According to him, a special tourist route is also being developed for pairs, which will include accommodation in a restored hotel, a visit to the famous museum of local lore and a tour of the “seven wedding bridges” of the city.
