The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case regarding the injury of a minor during a fall of a passenger elevator in a residential building in the Oktyabrsky district of Krasnoyarsk.
The incident occurred on March 29 in a high-rise building on 1st Khabarovskaya Street, 7. According to the investigation, a 15-year-old girl living in this building entered the elevator on the 14th floor. As he moved, he began to fall sharply down and stopped on the 8th floor.
As a result of the incident, the schoolgirl received bodily injuries (preliminarily a closed craniocerebral injury) and was hospitalized.
“The victim is currently in the hospital, there is no threat to her life. The scene of the incident was inspected. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work and provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers). All the circumstances of the incident are being established,” the Investigative Committee said.
According to the prosecutor's office, the house is managed by Capital Management LLC, and the emergency with the elevator occurred due to improper operation of the automation and emergency braking.
The prosecutor's office organized an investigation into the injury of a schoolgirl when an elevator fell in a multi-story residential building.
It is known that this year administrative cases have already been initiated twice against the employees of this management company for violations of the procedure for maintaining common property (Part 2 of Article 14.1.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). During the inspection of the schoolgirl's injury, the supervisory agency will evaluate the actions of the management company, the developer and the authorized bodies.
Let us remind you that a problematic house for defrauded shareholders on 1st Khabarovskaya Street, 7, was completed by decision of the Federal Territory Development Fund in 2024. At the beginning of 2026, residents turned to President Vladimir Putin and complained about cracks in the walls, flooding of the basement and upper floors, destruction of the yard and other problems. Based on information about the violation of the rights of residents, the chairman of the Investigative Committee ordered to initiate a criminal case, which is now being investigated.
