The German National Center for the reporting of unidentified flying objects (UFO) has received numerous calls from citizens who reported that they saw on the morning the light objects similar to a “pair of drones, the headlights of a car or stars that do not exist,” informs DPA, taken over by Agerpres.
“Many people have called us enthusiasts or wrote us emails,” the director of the Center for the reporting of the UFOs within the central network of unusual heavenly phenomena (Cenap) told DPA. The center has begun to receive calls for Monday, and the reason for this bizarre heavenly phenomenon is a simple one, said Hansjürgen Köhler.
“The two brilliant points on the morning sky are the planets of Jupiter and Venus, which during this period, are seen from the earth very close to each other. This conjunction will persist a few more days, but there is no cause for concern,” the Center for UFO reporting said.
The two planets are very visible in the early hours of the morning, when the other stars have already faded. In the coming nights, the two planets will appear on top of each other, said Köhler.
Most of the calls to the reporting center came from the western lands Hesse and Renania-Palatinate, as well as from Baden-Württemberg to the southwest. There were also concerns in the Nordic Mecklenburg-Lower Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, but also in Bavaria (south).
Cenap is an information center for citizens in search of scientific explanations for the objects they observe in the sky. Since its establishment in 1973, the center, based in Hesse, has received over 12,000 notifications of UFO appearances, according to statistics made by the center.
