The subject itself was not taught in primary schools for several years, but the Ministry of National Education decided that From 2026, students will learn the world again thanks to nature lessons. Only in a completely new and unprecedented formula. As explained in an interview with Polish Radio, Deputy Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer, instead of a typical 45-minute lesson, students will participate in three-hour blocks. In this way, students are to have time to observe, experiment and group work.
Nature is to be taught for three years and it was reserved three hours a week. The final decision whether it will be a uniform block or maybe separate – traditional – lessons, will be made by teachers.

The ministry was to be inspired by the education systems in Wales, Ireland or Australia, where nature teaching is based on experience, work in teams and research conducted in the field.
