Vladimir Putin's meeting with the American delegation

Just before the talks, Vladimir Putin warned European countries that a possible war with Russia would end in a quick defeat for them. Jat the same time, he rejected the proposals presented by Europe to resolve the situation in Ukraine, considering them “absolutely unacceptable” for Russia.
During the meeting in the Kremlin, Putin expressed satisfaction with the visit of American envoys, saying he was glad of their presence.
Steve Witkoff, who previously walked in Red Square with Kushner and Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian leader's envoy, he described Moscow as a “wonderful city”. Dmitriev and Putin's adviser Yuri Ushakov also took part in the talks, supported by translators.
Donald Trump has repeatedly emphasized his commitment to ending the war in Ukraine. However, despite previous attempts, such as the August summit with Putin in Alaska and talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, peace remains a distant goal.
Peace plan for Ukraine
Last week, 28 US peace proposals came to light, sparking concerns among Ukrainian and European officials. In their view, the United States agreed to Moscow's key demands, including Russian control over one-fifth of Ukraine's territory, concessions to NATO and restrictions on Ukrainian armed forces. In response to these proposals, European powers presented their counterproposal.
During talks in Geneva, the US and Ukraine announced the creation of an “enhanced and improved peace framework” aimed at ending the conflict. However, whether these actions will bring a real solution remains an open question.
