KPO or “Kasa Civic Platform”. PiS organizes a traveling exhibition

PiS politicians believe that the KPO subsidies “largely” received families and companies associated with the policies of the ruling coalition, organized a traveling exhibition entitled “Kasa Civic Platform”. It is to be presented throughout the country, and PiS politicians are to have meetings with residents in this topic.

PiS politicians presented their exhibition at the Tuesday press conference organized in Warsaw in front of the headquarters of the Prime Minister's office. Party spokesman Rafał Bochenek said that it shows what happened recently with EU funds from the national reconstruction plan and is a symbol of “wasted money and cheated people.”
He announced that in the coming days the exhibition will “travel all over Poland” and PiS parliamentarians will therefore organize conferences and meetings with residents.
Bochenek said that the KPO money was to be allocated to the reconstruction of the Polish Covid-19 Pandemic Economy, and this was also to allow the creation of new jobs. These funds – he said – were to serve development, but the current government “squandered them to some single investments that do not correspond with what they should be spent on.”
According to the PiS spokesman, the funds from KPO “largely” went to the families of the politicians of the current ruling coalition, or to entrepreneurs who sponsored it during the parliamentary campaign. “It is the pathology of this power, it is a gigantic abuse and misconception that was to serve the development of our homeland,” said Bochenek.

He also referred to the statement of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who on Tuesday before the government meeting stated that 100 percent. PiS is responsible for the problems of spending European money in connection with the policy pursued at a time when the group ruled.
According to the PiS spokesman, the prime minister with such statements “tries to transfer and blur responsibility.” – Tusk directly set the criteria for this program, set the rules for granting funds, concluded contracts with individual beneficiaries, accepted invoices, signed under the receipts of individual investments – said Bochenek.
PiS deputy mayor Mateusz Kurzejewski said that the subsidies received, among others Family of MP Artur Łącki, daughter of the Łódź Voivode, or PO candidate for the Mława poviat council. That is why he announced that PiS politicians would conduct a “detailed analysis of the connections of individual companies that supported PO and Rafał Trzaskowski (KO candidate in the last presidential election).” Kurzejewski added that this list will be publicly presented.
At the end of last week, users of Platforma X began to post examples of companies from the HoReCa industry (hotel industry, gastronomy), which received subsidies from KPO, including for company yachts, saunas, solariums, furniture replacement or the purchase of a virtual shooting range. The media also began to describe the matter. Prime Minister Tusk said then that he would not accept “any waste of funds from the KPO”, indicating that he would expect quick decisions including collecting funds where there was obviously abuse.
On Tuesday, the head of government said that PiS blocked money from the KPO, and Poland wasted a lot of time in this matter. As he said, “100 percent of responsibility for the problems related to the spending of European money are borne by PiS and his idiotic, aggressive and anti -European policy and theft of time.” He added, in no way this can explain the inactivity, sloppiness or bad will of officials responsible for the distribution of these funds. He also announced that at Tuesday's meeting of the government, the Minister of Funds Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz will be submitted to the explanation, and then decisions will be announced if you also need personal.
At the end of last week, the Minister of Funds assured that repair activities were taken two weeks ago. In addition to the appeal at the end of July, the head of PARP Katarzyna Duber-Stachurska pointed to inspections carried out in institutions that were responsible for the selection of beneficiaries, including at the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency. She added that the controversial program is less than 0.5 percent. the entire KPO and applies to small and medium -sized entrepreneurs who suffered during the Covid pandemic.
