Mass protests in the center of London. The police detained several dozen people


Hundreds of people gathered on Saturday at Parliament Square in the Westminster district to lift banners with the inscription: “I oppose the genocide. I support Palestine Action.” Metropolitan police gathered officers from many units to help deal with intense protests. As the organizers of the campaign informed, 600 to 700 people participate in the demonstration against the ban on the organization.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer informed earlier that the outlawed organization has relationships with numerous burglaries, sabotage and other crimes.
“Independent” reports that several counter -manifestants who carried banners with the inscription “Palestine Action terrorizes Great Britain, while Hamas is hiding in hospitals, schools and mosques”, was derived from the crowd by metropolitan police officers.
Earlier large protests occurred in London in the second half of July. Then 55 people were detained. The group was banned under the British anti -terrorist law. Similar demonstrations also occurred in Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Truro, where the police detained eight people. In other cities, the number of arrested at that time exceeded 40.
