In Sharypovo, a vigilant seller of gadgets saved a 63-year-old woman from receiving a large loan for scammers. This was reported in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The seller of one of the mobile discounters turned to the duty unit, who said that there is a woman in the store, whom scammers are trying to influence. Police officers immediately left for the place. During the conversation with a pensioner, the police found out that unknown people called her several times and submitted to the specialists of the State Services portal. They told the woman that they were trying to arrange various loans for her.
After that, false employees of law enforcement agencies contacted the pensioner and warned that if she did not issue a loan and would not transfer 1.2 million rubles to a “safe score”, then a criminal case on terrorism would start a criminal case against her. Fearing criminal prosecution, the woman went to a financial institution.
“In banks, when applying for a loan from a pensioner, they began to request certificates that she could not provide and did not issue money, but previously approved the application. Then the attackers said that you need to buy a new phone and make a SIM card of another operator, then try again, ”the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
As a result, the woman was in a mobile disc, met real police officers and realized that they tried to deceive her.
On this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Entertainment for fraud.” The investigation continues.
