The name of a former PNL leader, conveyed for a post in Cotroceni

Ludovic Orban, the leader of the Party Force of the Right, is a name to be part of the Presidential Administration, political sources said for HotNews.ro.

Orban supported Nicușor Dan in the campaign for the supreme function in the state, after, in the presidential elections last year, canceled by the CCR, he supported the leader of the USR, Elena Lasconi. Ludovic Orban was, in the past, president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), and Prime Minister of Romania.

Since taking over the mandate of president by Nicușor Dan, more than two months have passed. During this time, he made a single appointment in his team of counselors (presidential or state), in the person of Radu Burnete. At this moment, there are nine departments in the Presidential Administration who have no leadership.

Recently asked in a press conference in Cotroceni when he will name his team in the Presidential Administration, President Nicușor Dan said it is “an analysis”.

At this time, according to the site of the Presidential Administration and according to the Institution Organization and Functioning Regulation, nine departments have no management:

  1. Foreign Political Department, Strategic Partnerships and Romanians Everywhere
  2. The legislative constitutional department
  3. Internal Political Department
  4. Climate and Sustainability Department
  5. Department of Education and Research
  6. Public Health Department
  7. Department of Culture, Cults and National Minorities
  8. Department of Public Communication
  9. The spokesman of the President of Romania

Also, at the Presidential Administration there are 11 presidential or state counselors, who run different departments:

  1. Cristian Diaconescu, presidential counselor – Department of National Security – Coordinator of the Chancellery of the President of Romania;
  2. Luminița-Teodora Odobescu, presidential counselor-European Affairs Department;
  3. Radu Burnete, presidential counselor – Department of Economic and Social Politics;
  4. Delia Dinu, presidential counselor – Protocol Department;
  5. Mariana Costea, presidential counselor – General Secretariat of the Presidential Administration;
  6. Simona-Livia Maftei, presidential counselor-the president's office;
  7. Cătălina Galer, State Counselor – Administration Department, Public Policies and Civil Society;
  8. Mihai Şomordolea, State Counselor – National Security Department – CSAT Secretary;
  9. Gabriel-Cristian Pișcociu, State Counselor-Administration Department, Public Policies and Civil Society-Office for Relations with Citizens;
  10. Florin-Lazar Vlădă, State Counselor-National Security Department-Director of the Integrated Intelligence Office;
  11. Lenuța Cobuz, State Counselor – Chancellery of Orders.

On June 24, Nicușor Dan decided to keep in the Cotroceni team on five presidential advisers and three state councilors whose mandates were to end on June 30.
