Researchers also pay attention to an unusual orbit of an object that allows him to approach such planets as Venus, Mars and Jupiter, which can be part of a strategy for a secret maneuver through a solar system.
The Leb also mentions the “dark forest” hypothesis, which involves the likely hostile behavior of alien civilizations.
However, some scientists called this hypothesis absurd. As explained by the scientific portal of Live Science, the 3I/Atlas interstellar object found in October 2019 moved through the solar system at a speed of about 315 thousand km/h (87 km/s). This is the first object discovered outside our solar system.
Astrona Adam Lee believes that the theory of the “dark forest” is excessively speculative and does not have a scientific basis. He notes that on the basis of existing evidence it is difficult to accept such an idea, since it is not supported by specific empirical data.
Another astronomer Sean Mark denies the theory of non-gravitational acceleration as evidence of the technology of aliens. According to him, this can be explained by natural phenomena, such as solar pressure or radiation.
In addition, physicist Harold Lewis noted that the 3I/Atlas retrograde orbit does not indicate an artificial origin of the object. He believes that such a trajectory can be explained by natural space processes and this is not evidence of the technology of extraterrestrial civilizations.
