Teenager investigated in Spain after the appearance of nude images with his colleagues, created by AI

Spanish police announced on Sunday that he is investigating a 17 -year -old, suspected of using artificial intelligence (AI) to create nude pictures with classmates to sell them, AFP reports.

The investigation was launched after 16 young people from an educational institute in the Valencia region demanded the appearance of images with them, which circulate on social networks and on the Internet.

The first complaint was filed in December 2024 by a teenager who declared that a video and false photos in which he appears “completely empty”, created by AI, were posted on a social media account created with her name.

As several accusations appeared, the police began to suspect that the images had been taken by a student from the same institute.

The pursuit of the IP addresses used to create the false accounts led to the home of the 17 -year -old, now under investigation for the suspicion of corruption of minors.

This is not the first time that the Spanish authorities detect pornographic images with minors, created by artificial intelligence.

In March, the Government announced that it will propose a law that will treat such forged sexual images, created by AI without consent. The project, about which Madrid claims to represent a premiere in Europe, has not yet been adopted by the Parliament.
