The diary reports that the Global Live Shopping Market was worth almost USD 128.5 billion last year, and by 2033 it is expected to increase to almost USD 2.5 trillion. According to the calculations of the American consulting company Grand View Research, cited by “PB”, “the average annual growth rate is estimated at almost 40 percent”.

The newspaper reminds that the phenomenon, from English called live shopping or live e-commerce, was born in the middle of the last decade along with the launch of the Taobao Live website from Alibaba. “Since then, it has been developing dynamically and, according to experts, has an increasing impact not only on the e-commerce market,” writes the author of the text.

He explains that live e-commerce consists in offering various types of goods during live broadcast-on platforms or social media intended for this purpose, such as Tiktok or Instagram-during which products are shown and discussed.

Cited by “PB” Oskar Błaszkowski, distribution manager at DSV, indicated that “some companies already decide to create their own live e-commerce applications and employ internet stars to cooperate.”

“Often people conducting broadcasts are influencers cooperating with producers. Their recognition allows you to attract more people willing to take part in the sales session,” explained the DSV expert.

According to the author of the text, “This form of purchases has a larger group of participants, among others, due to the fact that online algorithms follow and analyze consumers' behavior, displaying them on page platforms or links to sell goods that may be interested.” (PAP)
