After the Moldovan oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc at Athens airport, the Greek police carried out searches in Saronida where he was hiding together with former Democrat deputy Constantin Țuțu, transmits the TV8 television, citing the Greek press.
According to the Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Plahotniuc holds an identity card and an authentic Elena passport, but obtained on the basis of false documents. He also had a driving license issued in Greece, discovered by police in a car shop.
At the searches conducted in the house in Saronida, investigators found things of great importance: about 155,000 euros in cash, 17 passports and false identity documents in various countries, computer systems equipped with special security software, numerous mobile and computers, as well as four luxury watches of high value, according to Kathimerini.
Also, a Skoda Kodiaq car that Plahotniuc used was used for travel.

According to information from the Greek police, the supervision of the two suspects showed that they rarely left the house and frequently changed their country of residence. Plahotniuc would have traveled in 22 different countries from 2023 until now, according to the same source.
On Sunday afternoon, the two called a taxi and, with very few luggage, headed to the airport, trying to embark on a flight to Dubai.
The policemen who were following their movements managed to delay their departure and detained them for the gates for flights outside the Schengen area.
At Plahotniuc's body control, travel documents on behalf of a Bulgarian citizen, 2,670 euros, two mobile phones, a laptop and other electronic storage devices were found.
In Ţuțu's luggage were discovered travel documents and allowed by Romanian and Bulgarian names, also false, along with money and mobile phones. At the same time, about Țuțu, the Greek press writes that on his behalf the Russian authorities issued an international tracking alert for involvement in a drug trafficking network.
