According to Kravchenko, he learned about changes to the law that may affect the work of NABU and SAP, from the message of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the Voice of Yaroslav Zheleznyak. He emphasized that the adoption of laws or amendments is the work of the Verkhovna Rada, however, he answered the question of the further work of independent bodies and the Prosecutor General after the lawyer signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and it will be published.

“There is a suspicion that NABU and SAP will lose independence? Why? They do not obey me. NAU does not obey. SAP in connection with the changes – we are one system, one organ, the system of the prosecution authorities. CAP in accordance with the Law of Ukraine on the prosecutor’s office as it was and remains in the status of the Department. And we will be one family. They will work in our criminal proceedings, we will help me. Submits, ”Kravchenko explained.

He also spoke about the suspicions of some journalists that he was allegedly appointed to the position of general prosecutor, so that he would “take the case” of the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Unity of Alexei Chernoshov, who appears in criminal proceedings for corruption.

“The changes accepted by the Verkhovna Rada today say that I can … I know all your questions, and you say that I am not like that I will violate the independence of the two organs. Answer:“ No. ”Because I can, as you can ask, take away any business and give it to the body. And some famous journalists have informed that the new general would have assigned to the Chernoshov case. I promise that I will not take Chernyshov even after these changes, I will see how they will finish and how the prosecutors of the SAP will go and will support the state prosecution before the sentence, ”the prosecutor general emphasized.

At the same time, he announced his readiness to personally go to court and submit a state charge if help is needed in this case.

When asked about the feasibility of providing the Prosecutor General of the right to sign suspicions of the top officials whose affairs are investigated by the CAP, Kravchenko replied that this is the “legal structure of the state” and that “the Verkhovna Rada elected the Prosecutor General.”

As for why searches for NABU workers took place simultaneously and they were connected with preparation for the law, Kravchenko noted that it was such an approach – to do everything quickly, without delaying. According to him, this is more effective than old Soviet practice.

“Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to sources wrote that searches in NABU may be related to the Chernyshov case. At the same time, the director of the Bureau Semyon Krivonos, although they confirmed that they tried to put pressure on this case in the NABU, but connected the situation with all the under investigation, and not specifically with the Chernyshov case, wrote LB.UA.
