FCSB it's in the strings. Lost the first official match of 2026, 0-1 with FC Argesa duel that he had to win in order to strengthen his candidacy for the play-offs. Yanis Pîrvu, an offensive player of only 18 years, is the one who settled the duel from the opening of the 22nd stage.
A promising midfielder, Yanis Nikolas Christian Pîrvu, is the only one who found the way to the goal on the frozen pitch of Mioveni.
The joy of the hosts was all the greater as the victory was brought to them by a child from Pitesti, a player who he has already engraved his name in the history of the club, becoming the second youngest debutant of Argeș in the championshipafter the great Nicolae Dobrin.
It happened on November 5, 2022, when Yanis played 35 minutes in the first league at the age of 15 years, 7 months and 3 days. He had arrived at FC Argeș just a few months before, from the football school of Dani Coman, the current president of the club.
Yanis Pîrvu, 18, kidnapped FCSB
Since then, Yanis, capable of playing as a winger or attacking midfielder, has donned the white and purple kit a further 78 times. In the first league he scored twice, in 3-1 against Csikszereda in the 4th stage, respectively now, with FCSBa goal after which he could not hide his excitement.
In flash interviews, Yanis admitted:
“I'm very happy that we managed to win today and especially that I scored, I helped my team. We hope to keep it that way. The goal means a lot, from joy to more confidence, to chances to play more.
It is an immense joy, [FCSB] it is a very good team, they are the champions of Romania, but we did our job and managed to win. We were aggressive, the first in duels and I think that made the difference today”.

Yanis also said that he believed from day 1 in such a path for Argeș, unexpected given that we are talking about a newly promoted team:
“I personally would have thought, because we put a lot of effort every day in training, and with Mister's training, physically and tactically, we are close to achieving our goal.”
On top of that, the youth international elegantly “dribbled” the discussions regarding a possible future destination: “I don't know where I see myself, now I'm at FC Argeș. I want to give my best here and help my team as much as I can, so that in the future it will be good for me.”

Daniel Pancu: “I wanted to summon him to the Euro! The copy of Nicușor Stanciu”
Yes, Yanis is a junior international, currently the captain of the U19 national team, for which he has already played 7 times. He has matches in all age categories in juniors, from U15 to U19.
A first call-up to the youth national team, U21, is on the horizon. Daniel Pancu, the previous U21 selector, revealed that he had Yanis in mind all the time, including for a summons to the European U21 in 2025!
“I have a favorite at FC Argeș: Yanis Pîrvu. I wanted to invite him to the Euro. I see him as a copy – both in running and in style – of Nicușor Stanciu. Leit-leit! Someone who has also seen him in many matches in the 2nd League tells you”, said Pancu at GSP Live.
Another former great footballer, Ilie Dumitrescuhe was also impressed by Pîrvu. He did it immediately after the match with FCSB, at DigiSport:
“He seems to me to be a very mature player. I didn't notice him just tonight. Every time he entered or played, I thought he brings an obvious plus in the offensive phase. He has personality, he interprets the phases very well, especially in the last third.”
