Dedation of the Holocaust is a shameful historical lie – said the president of Law and Justice on Sunday in Lublin Jarosław Kaczyński. In his opinion, what Grzegorz Braun does is a blow to our most elementary interests, destroys our relations with the United States.
During his speech in Lublin, the PiS president referred to the last statements of the MEP of the Polish Crown of the Polish Crown Grzegorz Braun, who in the radio statement on July 10 this year, on the eve of the murder anniversary in Jedwabne, denied the presence of gas chambers in KL Auschwitz. He stated that people should be convinced that they “do not believe in all kinds of fairy tales.”
– What Braun does is hit our most elementary interests. Saying that there was no Holocaust, first of all is a shameful historical lie, but also destroys our relations with the United States – said Kaczyński on Sunday. “These are not only shameful things, but also extremely harmful and probably done, however, with some thought, with a certain concept,” he added.
He emphasized that in the US there was no administration as strongly related to Jewish environments as the present.
The PiS president also referred to the events of the Sejm of December last year, when Grzegorz Braun extinguished the chanu candle with a fire extinguisher. – It is true that it starts, but somehow it all goes very slowly and very vigorously – said Kaczyński.
European Parliament in May this year. He repealed Braun's immunity in connection with the investigation into the insulting of a group of people against religious, but also a number of other incidents, including Blocking in May 2023 lecture by prof. Jan Grabowski about the Holocaust at the German Historical Institute. Last week, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar sent a request to the EP to repeal immunity to Braun in connection with the proceedings regarding: destruction in June 2025 in the main hall of the Sejm of the exhibition dedicated to the LGBT+community; slander in April 2025 during the television debate of presidential candidates of the organizers of the social campaign “Dawkile” commemorating the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising; Theft in April 2025. Flags of Ukraine from the City Hall in Biała Podlaska and theft in May 2025. Flags of the European Union from the hall of the Ministry of Industry in Katowice.
At the same time, the IPN investigation division initiated an investigation in a public case and contrary to the facts of Braun's denying crimes of genocide committed in the German Nazi concentration camp and the Auschwitz-Birkenau KL Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp. (PAP)
